Microsoft and Google open up Google Voice to podcasting

Microsoft is adding Google Voice for Android to its popular online podcasting app.

The app, which was previously available only on the desktop and in the Windows Phone Store, will now be available on Android and iOS, Microsoft announced today.

The podcasting service lets users create and host a podcast, stream their episodes and listen to them on their mobile device or laptop.

The app is currently available only in the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to other countries later this year.

Google Voice for Google also makes it possible to create and send automated calls and text messages to the recipient and listen back to them.

The feature is currently only available for the Microsoft Office and Windows Phone app.

Google’s official support page notes that the service will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
